Paul Desmond Brown, American, 1893-1958, is widely regarded as the pre-eminent American illustrator of equestrian subjects although he was never formally trained as an artist.
Chisholm Gallery, LLC has & represents the largest collection of Paul Desmond Brown work in the world.
Ornate 14-piece table garniture in sterling silver, comprising three large vases with dark blue glass liners and matching centerpiece pedestal; two cake stands; and eight candleholders, all of the pieces with matching pierced pattern and foliate scroll embellishments, circa 1900, stamped Caldwell, USA.
The center piece of the set measures 30″ long by 17″ wide by 3.5″ deep. Each candlestick is 7″ tall. There are three vases in the set; the center one measures 18.5″ tall and the other two are 15.25″ tall. The set is in mint condition.
