Galvin, Wendy
British Contemporary
British based equestrian artist, Wendy Galvin, has been drawing horses for much of her life, although she has only taken it up professionally in the last two years. Wendy is an Associate member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and has exhibited with the Society in London, Newmarket and the Cotswolds, including their annual ‘The Horse in Art’ International Open Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. She also won a commission from Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum’s internationally renowned thoroughbred breeding empire, Shadwell Stud, to produce the artwork for their 2010 stallion brochure, featuring one of Europe’s top stallions.
Wendy uses pastels to produce work that depicts her subjects with great accuracy, sensitivity and depth to achieve a true likeness for clients. She particularly enjoys portrait work and will undertake commissions from any area of equestrianism.
