American Contemporary

Neo-Surrealism and Painterly Realism by Equine Master Artist

Patricia Powers has been creating a series of life size and larger than life paintings of horses, humans and architectural elements since 1980. In them she explores the relationships between humans and horses, horses and our contemporary environment, and the recent changes in our long history with this creature that have rendered it an increasing rarity in our everyday lives.
