Oussedik, Marine
French Contemporary
Draughtswoman, sculptor, illustrator, Marine Oussedik dedicates her entire work to the horse. Born in 1967, Marine Oussedik grew up in Paris and now lives far from the city, in the country, with her horses. She graduated from the Higher College of Graphic Arts in Paris in 1990. A delicate powerful stroke of pen, hints of colors a dash of white and an eye becomes alive. Marine Oussedik’s horses don’t need to be signed by the artist, they are her signature, full of life, always in movements.
Her paintings have travelled all over the world since 1992 in a long list of exhibitions through Paris, England, Switzerland, and the Emrirats. The Living Museum of Chantilly also asked her to organize a permanent exhibit in two of the Museum rooms. In 2010, the Museum of Nogent-le Rotrou also put on a retrospective looking back at 20 years of her work. She signed the collection “Horses of the Wind” for the Faïence de Gien. Marine also illustrated many art or technical books which received several prizes.
“This horsewoman who rides in dressage lives according to the rhythm of her imaginary horses as well as the rhythm of her two real ones.”
