JoAnne has combined this love of nature with her other passion, Art, studying at The New York School of Visual Arts while at the same time, learning about animal behavior and husbandry, which lead her to obtain a wildlife rehabilitators license, from which she gained a deeper understanding of animal anatomy and behavior.
