Joanne Armstrong
Joanne Armstrong graduated from the University of Ulster’s School of Art and Design in 1999 and lives in Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. She specialises in equine portraiture in oils and has undertaken many private commissions. In 2001 she was the youngest artist selected to exhibit at the International Salon de Saumur, France. Her painting of Irish Champion Hurdler Istabraq was presented to the top Irish rider at the European Eventing Championships in 2003. She also exhibited at the Society of Equestrian Artists’ Silver Jubilee Newmarket exhibition. As an Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists she has regularly exhibited with the Society at Christie’s and the Mall Galleries, London.
