Dready art is a 100% Caribbean product: it was imagined here, designed here, tested here – in Barbados, BYI, cayman, Grenada and Jamaica – we live here and are from here, our children were born here, I draw it here (mostly, cause sometimes I draw it when I’m traveling!). So despite what has become the kind of global reach of Dready art we try to think of ourselves as a little caribbean company just doing our thing.

“I’m just a bit of a hippie artist at heart, who believes that the ultimate goal of life is to live happily (and righteously), and, I suppose, by buying into the art you’re sharing some of that joy…”

I said to a man the other day ‘whether it’s an emotional or financial transaction, all the parties involved should feel some joy from the process … that includes the chain forward and backward … we’re gonna try and live up to that idea.

Dready is part of the National Collection of the Cayman Islands, and included in the gallery’s book/catalogue on the history of the National Collection. A piece of Dready art is off representing the Cayman Islands in a regional cultural display right now in Barbados.
