American Contemporary
In 1979 American Vogue discovered Christophe and the Museum of Modern Art displayed his photos. In the 1980s Christophe expanded his career, working with such publications as Interview, Art Forum, Vanity Fair, Geo, German Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Fortune, Hamptons Magazine, German and french Vogue. In 2007, his critically acclaimed book Andy Warhol: The Day the Factory Died received the Photo District News Photo Book Award and the AIGA Book Award. His work has been displayed at the Grey Art Gallery in New York City; The Dorian Grey Gallery in New York City; the Stephen Keszler Gallery in New York City; the Rudolf Budja Gallery in Salzburg, Austria; the America House Cultural Center in Munich, Germany; Affirmation Arts in New York City; the Goss Gallery in Dallas, Texas; and Aretha Campbell Fine Art, London; Patrica Conde Gallery in Mexico City. His shows have been reviewed in German Vanity Fair,English Vogue and The Daily Telegraph.
His photographs can be found in private collections in the United States, Europe and South America. Christophe lives in New York City and Mexico City.
