Connell, Bunny
American, 20th Century
Bunny Connell, Wyoming sculptor, looks almost exclusively to the animal world for her inspiration, portraying her subjects with great understanding and sensitivity. Her animals move with primitive force and stand with natural grace; especially the way they react to their environment without human interference.
A backgroung in the Arts as a painter and metal sulptor, her extensive travel, experience in the world of polo, and her life on a ranch, raising horses and cattle at the base of the Big Horn mountains, an area which abounds in wildlife, is fused with her sculptural excellence to produce three dimensional art at its best. Bunny’s bronzes are widely held, both in the United States and abroad.
Connell is a member of The Society of Animal Artists and the American Academy of Equine Artists.
