Has a plain circular rounded form onto a circular domed stepped spreading foot. The body of this cup is encircled with a plain girdle and applied molded decoration to the rim. The cup is fitted with two opposing scroll handles with impressive chased leaf decorated thumb pieces and scrolling lower terminals. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted to a circular ebonized wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver bowl has a Warwick style form onto a knopped pedestal foot and square base. The lower shaped portion of the piece is embellished with chased fluted decoration accented with a plain paralleling border. The upper portion of this large sterling silver bowl/vase has an impressive cast and applied egg decorated border to the rim, replicating the details of the aforementioned chased ornamentation and enhanced with an applied band of bead decoration to the inner circumference.

This vase / bowl is fitted with impressive applied Warwick style cast sterling silver handles modelled in the form of entwined vines, embellished with foliate and fruiting vine decorated sockets in junction with the body. The plain cast circular knopped pedestal foot surmounts a plain square base. Condition: This antique, large sterling silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This George V piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are very clear.

Exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation bowl/cup/bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a flared, spreading foot. The surface of this silver bowl has a planished finish and divided into eight embossed inverted arched panels. The shaped rim of the bowl and paneled foot are encompassed with applied moulded borders. This bowl is fitted with two large handles, each with a plain thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal. The underside of the bowl bears the registration number ‘RD NO 430118’, in addition to the full hallmarks. This versatile bowl/cup is a substantial size and if required could be used as a wine/bottle cooler.

If required, this antique cup could be supplied with a bespoke ebonized black plinth with sterling silver plaque or band, suitable for a personal engraved inscription. This service would take approximately six weeks, whereas the cup can be dispatched separately prior to completion. Condition: This antique silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl are very clear.

The cover finial is in the form of a pair of inverted armored legs, complete with spurs, part of the regimental crest of the 12th Lancers. These same legs appear on the full crest to the stem of the cup. The cup and cover celebrate the Subalterns’ Polo Challenge Cup won in 1913 at the Ranelagh Club by the 12th Lancers team, listed in full on the stem.
