Born in Bogotà, Colombia, Alexander played polo for many years in his home town. Living in Bogotà, he started making charcoal drawings early while in High School. He began his polo art career in 1980 with miniature sculptures, then moving to larger bronzes, staying in the theme of polo scenes. Alexander is now making several polo bronze sculptures in very limited productions, and continuing his unique charcoal drawings depicting polo and other equestrian scenes, as well as zebras in the wild.
