Equine Master Artist: Neo-Surrealism and PainterlyRealism Paintings

Patricia Powers has been creating a series of life size and larger than life paintings of horses, humans and architectural elements since 1980. In them she explores the relationships between humans and horses, horses and our contemporary environment, and the recent changes in our long history with this creature that have rendered it an increasing rarity in our everyday lives. Her work reflects a lifelong involvement with riding as well as contemporary painting. Patricia produces oils on canvas of all sizes, however she is best known for her life-size pieces. She also specializes in pictorial and trompe l'oeil painting. Commissions are most welcome.
